Meet Anna
Anna is the heart and hands behind Adobo Down Under, a space dedicated to the quiet beauty of Filipino home cooking.
For Anna, the kitchen has always been more than just a place to prepare food; it is where heritage is kept alive and where stories are shared. Growing up with the scents of vinegar and toasted garlic, she learned early on that the most important lessons in cooking aren't found in a manual, but in the tantiya, the intuitive "feel" passed down through generations.
Now based in Australia, Anna has spent years exploring what it means to carry those traditions across oceans. Through Adobo Down Under, she built a community that values the slow, intentional process of making a house feel like home. Her work is a celebration of the "Etc"—the laughter, the patience, and the shared plates that turn a simple recipe into a family legacy.
An active community leader, Anna is the founder of Filipino Food Movement Australia Inc, a non-profit dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Filipino food culture in the diaspora.
Adobo Etc is Anna’s first cookbook. A love letter to the Filipino kitchen and a guide for anyone looking to find their own rhythm at the stove.
